Environmental Policy

Weir Services is committed to improving its use of natural resources and to preventing pollution.

We are committed to complying with relevant environmental regulations and legislation.

Our Management System is consistent with the requirements of the current issue of BS EN ISO 14001.

Within our Management System, we have created mechanisms for identifying and regularly reviewing environmental aspects. For significant environmental aspects, we establish performance objectives and annual targets. We measure our performance against these and improve the Management System through audit and formal review.

We take account of customer requirements with respect to the environment and ensure that sub-contractors are able to meet our requirements.

The general management of environmental issues is contained within our Management System, in which we assess all activities where there could be risks to health, safety, quality and the environment. We put in place measures designed to prevent or reduce risks to an acceptable level.

We are aware that the output of our work and services can influence the impact on the environment of the assets of our customers. We will manage this aspect of our work and services so as to ensure the fullest understanding and co-operation with our customers.

This policy statement has the complete support of the Board of Directors of Weir Services and its operating companies.
