Weir OCI has accreditation from the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) for Inspection & Testing of a range
of lifting and lifted equipment.
During the course of accreditation compliance with the requirements of the Australian Petroleum Producers and Exploration
Association (APPEA) "Guidelines for Lifting Equipment" (now withdrawn) & inspection & testing requirements of Det
Norske Veritas DNV2.7-1 "Offshore Container - Certification Notes" was closely monitored by NATA.
Weir OCI's terms of NATA accreditation also covers the provision of onsite services for your
convenience.
Efficient Handling Methods
Offshore containers and similar equipment arriving at Weir OCI are readily handled by large fork lift trucks or mobile
cranes that are always available on site. All equipment is placed on supporting racks to enable full underside inspection
and, if required, all sandblasting and NDT work is carried out without moving the equipment from site.
